[Bxscience Key Club] Miracle Minute, DTC, and Divisional!!!!

Hey guys!

The second week of AP exams are now over! And now for the last week of AP and Regents exams...

For the President's Project, we held a Miracle Minute today during the meeting and raised $43.32!!! All the proceeds will be donated to Second Chance Rescue, which is an organization dedicated to finding a home for animals where they can be taken care of and loved.

The May Divisional will be on May 19th
​ (NEXT Tuesday!!!!)​
 at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School! If you haven't already, make sure to RSVP on Facebook and sign up here.
​ If you ordered a Thirst Project t-shirt, you will receive them during this divisional.​


The Divisional Training Conference (DTC) will be held on June 14th at Bayside High School. DTC is one of the biggest events of the year and is basically a smaller version of LTC. There will be over 15 panels and workshops, handouts and presentation materials, free lunch, and LOTS of fun!!! Find out more about DTC and sign up here.

Sign up to a part of the Division 11 Public Relations Committee! Aside from being in club committees, getting involved in divisional committees is also another way to be more active in Key Club! Find out more information and sign up here!

[Bxscience Key Club] Eliminate Week!

Hey guys!

I hope you are all doing well on your AP exams and getting plenty of rest! (Just kidding, it's Bronx Science.)

This week is Eliminate Week so make sure you advocate as much as possible about the Eliminate Project! If you haven't already, change your cover picture to this and tint your profile picture blue using this.

[Bxscience Key Club] First Email! :)

Hey guys!

It's Timmy here!! :D This is the first e-mail that the new board is sending out! We have so much planned for the upcoming service year so get hype and excited!!!

Part of my campaign for President was to establish something called the President's Project. Basically, every month or so, the club will begin focusing on a new cause that affects the world, such as the environment, lack of education, poverty, etc. I'm so excited to announce that the President's Project for May will be "Animals: Our Best Friends"!!!!!!! We will do a TON of projects that will help out animals in any way because they are our best friends! :)

Next week is Eliminate Week! Show your support by spreading the word about the Eliminate Project. Find out more about it here. 

Become a Committee head! This is one of the best ways you can doing more for Key Club. You can apply to be the Projects, Fundraising, Social Media, Public Relations, or Scrabook Committee cohead. You can find the applications here and the deadline to sign up is May 2nd, this Saturday so do it ASAP!!

[Bxscience Key Club] It's time for goodbye...

Our member of the month for February is Rachel Huang and for March it's Andy Zheng

Wesley's newsletter will come out in the next week or so, Make sure to check it out. It has a few lat words from the board, a collage of our Key Club items, LTC stuff, and articles about other events

Next week is Timmy's first full meeting, don't miss it!

ANYWAYYYY....
      So the day has come for my last e-mail and it's time for me to say goodbye. There were so many things I wanted to say during my speech but I didn't get a chance to. It's okay though because maybe there are some words better left unsaid. I'm glad that I was at least able to say what I did. Again, thank you for making this year the best year I have ever had. Nothing would have been possible without you. If you didn't get anything out of my speech at least remember this: you are significant and you can make a difference. No matter what happens, just by existing, you have touched a person's life in some shape or form. That time you donated to the Eliminate Project, that's one more baby that is alive because of YOU. That time you cheered at service event, that's one more smile you helped produce. That time you randomly spoke to a kid at that event, that's one more friend that you just made. So thank you for being my motivation and inspiration. Thank you for being my hope in humanity. Always remember that no matter who you are, where you are, or what you are going through. I'm always here to cheer you on or cheer you up (No matter who you are. Seriously).

[Bxscience Key Club] Farewell Speeches, Earth Day, Committee Heads etc.

HIYAAAAAA GUYS!!! :))))

This is my second to last e-mail to you guys :(  because next week is the Farewell Meeting. Come to hear the farewell speeches of the 2014-2015 board and see the new one get inducted. Make sure to bring tons of tissues and be prepared for tons of hugs :) However, if you do come, you have to be super respectful! Also, be aware that it might be a bit longer than most meetings so it might not end at exactly 5 (you can always leave earlier). 

Next week is the Earth Day themed LOP Carnival/Food Fair. So if you would like to make food for the club and and get credit the form is right (here).

Since it is time to change boards, it is also time to change committee heads. If you are interested in becoming the Committee Head for Projects, Social Media, Public Relations, Scrapbooking, or Fundraising, please fill out this form (here). Hiya guys! :)
I hope you're all having a great (and productive LOL JKAY) remainder of your spring break! 

Anyway, get ready for our next (and last before Farewell speeches on April 23) meeting on April 16. 

If you are interested in attending ICON (you meet Key Clubbers from around the world!!!) and don't know much about it, e-mail back asking for info! Also, if you intend to go, the deposit is due on May 1.
