[Bxscience Key Club] Camp Science and Committees!!!

Hey guys!

During today's meeting, our past Vice President Vincent Colicchio came to speak about college and the power of knowledge over the GPA that is on our transcripts. I hope you enjoyed his speech and that you learned from it!

Camp Science (Freshman Orientation) is coming soon on June 4th! This is going to be our opportunity to get as many freshmen as possible to join Key Club in the upcoming school year aside from Club Fair in the fall. I want as many volunteers as possible so if you are interested, you should definitely sign up here.

Committee sign ups have been released! Joining a committee is a great way to get more involved in Key Club and see what goes on behind the scenes of this club. There are five committees (Public Relations, Social Media, Projects, Fundraising, and Scrapbook) so there is definitely something that you will be interested in! Sign up here.

The Divisional Training Conference (DTC) will be held on June 14th at Bayside High School. DTC is one of the biggest events of the year and is basically a smaller version of LTC. There will be over 15 panels and workshops, handouts and presentation materials, free lunch, and LOTS of fun!!! Find out more about DTC and sign up here.

Sign up to volunteer for LTG Emily's long term service project, Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, here. You will be helping out by picking up leftover food that restaurants would normally throw away and donating them to shelters for people who need it. Spots are limited to about 1-2 people per club so if you want to participate, sign up ASAP! Additional people can still go, but there is no guarantee that you'll do work.

Sign up to a part of the Division 11 Public Relations Committee! Aside from being in club committees, getting involved in divisional committees is also another way to be more active in Key Club! Find out more information and sign up here!

Remember to send articles to Mona

[Bxscience Key Club] Committee Heads and RLC!!

Hey guys!

Now that AP exams are over, you can focus on going to Key Club meetings and events! :D

For the President's Project, we made chew toys from old t-shirts for dogs to play with during the meeting! If you want to make chew toys at home and bring them to the next meeting, you can use this video in order to guide you.

At the meeting, we announced the new committee heads. For those who applied for the position, but didn't get it, don't be discouraged! I am being 100% honest when I say that it was very difficult to choose committee heads this year. There are still so many ways to serve in Key Club, such as joining committees by using this form.

Public Relations
Jenifer Zheng and Samantha Vee
Social Media
Jenny Chen and Tenzin Amdo
Projects
Dante Schulz and Jerry Lau
Fundraising
Michele Chen and Tsering Sherpa
Scrapbook
Carol Zhang and Winni Yang

The Divisional Training Conference (DTC) will be held on June 14th at Bayside High School. DTC is one of the biggest events of the year and is basically a smaller version of LTC. There will be over 15 panels and workshops, handouts and presentation materials, free lunch, and LOTS of fun!!! Find out more about DTC and sign up here.

When Emily Li ran for Lieutenant Governor, she wanted to establish a long term service project. This project will be with the Rescuing Leftover Cuisine organization, which picks up leftover food from restaurants that would usually be thrown away at the end of the day. Instead, this food would be donated to shelters for people who need it. If you are interested in participating in this project, please write down your name here.

Sign up to a part of the Division 11 Public Relations Committee! Aside from being in club committees, getting involved in divisional committees is also another way to be more active in Key Club! Find out more information and sign up here!
