[Bxscience Key Club] Quick End of Summer Update!

{science_ACJ} Wikipedia and women scientists of India

Friends:

Wikipedia in Indian languages is still in a nascent stage. If more people volunteer to contribute and edit articles for Indic language Wikipedias it will be of great help.

Right now there is a move to write about women scientists of India. Please see
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lilavati%27s_Daughters_Edit-a-thon>
and join the movement. And spread the word.

My apologies guys, I forgot to include that DTC has an admission fee of $3. Sorry about that!

There will be free food that our Lieutenant Governor, Lillian Xie and Secretary Wendy Zhao have made personally for us! :)


Secondly, The Third Annual Kiwanis Family Picnic will be on Sunday from 12-5PM at Cunningham Park! It's a great chance to meat Key Clubbers from over the city. Circle K (College level) and Builders Club (Middle School level) will be there, so come! It'll be filled with fun and games...and more food. Admission is only $5! Bring Volley Balls and footballs! 

See you guys soon! :)

[Bxscience Key Club] Quick Update/Reminder!

Hey my lovely beavers! 

If you didn't find out yet, here are the upcoming events!


Chinatown Beautification Day will be the only event on Saturday so join us!! :) We'll reunite as one big happy family since we haven't seen each other for a while! And also, the registration that you must complete online for Chinatown Beautification Day will close on Thursday. So don't wait until the last minute!! 

As I mentioned before in the previous email, we will be having a hangout this Friday 8/16, at Juniper Park! We will be hanging near the baseball field that is at the entrance of Juniper Blvd South and 75st. You can get there by taking the Q47. The hangout officially starts at 5pm but feel free to come anytime! We will be having our Water Wars Fundraiser on that day as well so here are a few rules of the game: 

-You and your team of 4 will have to find the water balloons in the area.
-The water balloons come in different colors; each color will represent a number of points. (Some balloons will be worth a negative amount of points)
-You and your team will strive to get the most balloons and thus the most points. Besides finding the hidden balloons, you can hit others to obtain their balloons! 
-At the end of each round, we will count the number of points you have with the balloons you have collected. That is how our winner will be determined :) 

Remember, admission to this game is $3!!

[Bxscience Key Club] A new month! :)

Hey y'all!! I can't believe it's already August, but that just means that I'll be seeing you guys soon :) So here's a quick update on the upcoming events this month:


Since we haven't hung out with each other in the summer, our summer club meeting will be held at Juniper Park on 8/16. :) It is going to be across the large baseball field at the Juniper Blvd South and 75st entrance. You can get there by the Q47!
Bring snacks so we can chill on the grass :) We will be having our Water Wars on that day as well and you and your friends can join if you want :)
