[Bxscience Key Club] INTERNSHIP Opportunity + DUES Reminder

I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend. Below are some important updates and information. 

1) INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: I would like to notify you all of an amazing internship opportunity known as VISIONS' Intergenerational Program.VISIONS recruits and trains students 16 years of age and over to assist blind seniors in their homes. I myself participated in this program the past summer and had an amazing experience. Therefore, I would highly encourage anyone who has the time to participate in this program, to do so. 

Note: If the prospect of having a positive impact in the life of someone in need is not enough motivation for you (although I am positive that is not the case), I would also like to inform you that there will be a monetary ($$$$) incentive provided at the end of the program. Yay!!

The informational flyer and application for this program are attached to this email. Although both of those documents claim that the deadline has passed, it has actually been extended so it is not too late to apply. However, HURRY because the spots are filling up!! You may email me or the director of the program, Carrie Lewy (clewy@visionsvcb.org), if you have any questions concerning this program. 

2) PAY YOUR DUES!!: Dues are what help sustain Key Club in its mission. By paying your dues, you become an official Key Club member and will be able to run for a position later on in the year, and have many other privileges. 

 

Dues are $13. Please give in your dues in an envelope with your Name, Email, Homeroom and Phone #. You can give in your dues to me, Michelle, at any of the Key Club meetings. You can also give in your dues to any of the officers whose schedules are attached to this email. You must hand in your dues by October 21 so please hurry!!
