[Bxscience Key Club] IMPORTANT LTC Information

Hello everyone,

No More LTC Spots
I am sorry to inform you that all the spots for LTC have been taken. For those who were hoping to go to LTC this year, please do no be discouraged. There will be future LTCs for you to attend. Also remember, we have an event during the LTC weekend, so now you can attend. :)

Even though you cannot go to LTC, you can still be recognized there for your efforts in Key Club by applying for an award or contest!
Click here (http://conference.nydkc.org/awards.html) to access the Book of Merits (which lists all the awards/contests you can apply for) and Applications and Forms to apply for these awards/contests. Some awards you may be interested in are the poster contest or the tshirt contest! You can also work with the Scrapbooking Committee for the Traditional and Nontraditional Scrapbooking Contest by emailing our Scrapbooking Committee Chairs Xida Zou:zoux@bxscience.edu and Cindy Lin: linc@bxscience.edu.

Bronx Science Key Club Hoodie Designs
Hoodie designs are due this FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10. The design must include:
Bronx Science Key Club  / 2011-2012 / Caring--Our Way of Life. Also remember that our mascot is a beaver. You can design the hoodie on Custom Ink. Send your designs to me at victoria.li415@gmail.com and remember to include your name. Looking forward to seeing all the designs!

Distinguished Key Clubber Award
You can click here (http://www.nydkc.org/resources-paperwork/cat_view/49-club-resources) to access the online form for the DKC award by scrolling down and clicking on Division 1-13: Distinguished Key Clubber Award 2012. By sending online, you gain points that will contribute to the overall points which will determine if you will be awarded DKC. Follow the instructions and then send it to jaywong.ltg@nydkc.org. If you plan on applying for DKC, please email me ASAP if you want a recommendation letter from me. Also include any accomplishments you would like for me to include in your letter, such as sharing an event with us or being a project captain for an event.

EVERYONE SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS AWARD! It is non-competitive, meaning everyone who meet the requirements will get DKC. :)

The officers and I are working on a master list with the projects that meet the requirements for each category of the event. You don't have to wait for us to finish to start working on your DKC application. You can go onto the Points Sheet or Calendar to see the events you have attended. Email us if you are unsure whether or not a project fulfills the requirements. Remember, you get extra points if you send it in early by February 14. The application is due March 5.

Good luck and see you this Thursday!
Victoria
