[Bxscience Key Club] Optime Gravissima

Heyy!

The past week has been super tough for me because I have had to make some tough decisions such as: executive stuff, what to eat for dinner, what to wear today, and when to study for my AP. So I advise you, my (little) great ones, to manage your time well. Study, or you will regret not doing so. Good luck on your tests, APs, projects, and staying awake in class!!

  • There will be no meeting this week, due to the huge amount of members who will probably not be in school on Thursday in order to get some extra studying time for the AP USH exam. Wish good luck to the juniors who will cry on Friday!
  • The NAMI Walk, Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer Walk (you may still sign up to walk with the other record number of 47 members), and Japan Day (if you are not volunteering, you can go just to enjoy the festival and see your friends there) are this weekend! Check your email for details about the events from your project captains.
  • We are participating in the 1st Annual District New York Hunger Games : FreeRice previously named: The First Annual Division 11 Summer Solstice Interdivisional Literal FreeRice Hunger Games Battle Royale 2013. Here is the facebook event link:  http://www.facebook.com/events/365591903491114/. If you don't have a facebook, you can read the following instructions to participate  The rules are simple. Try to donate more than 75,000 grains of rice. (Our Goal as a Division Shall set at 2,000,000) This may seem like a simple task, but heed my warning, it is not. Each tribute must register and join the group here : http://freerice.com/content-group/new-york-district-division-11-key-club
For each question you answer, you donate 10 grains of rice. Tributes are allowed to choose a subject that they are comfortable with. Subjects range from SAT prep to Chemistry to English to German to                                      Mathematics and more. Daily DIVISIONAL Progress can be viewed here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtaUkGYGQNFydDFCQWZGcmJ6T3NET0xIT3R6Wmtfc3c#gid=0
  • The Divisional will be on April 17th, 2012 (a Thursday!) from 5:30-7:30 pm. It will most likely be at our school, the oh so lovely Bronx Science. Come to the divisional and show some club pride :) Since the Divisional starts pretty late, we will have a meeting!
I apologize for leaving the meeting early last week. I had to go to the city to help plan the NYCCAH event on May 19th. The meeting was in Kidz Bop central around NYU and the place was amazing. I love creaky wooden floors <3 I'll see you guys next week :)

Farewell,
Tam

P.S. the subject of the email means the most important
